(NEWSER) – Two university students in Washington state are facing expulsion after they scared off a would-be intruder with a gun, KXLY reports. Roommates Erik Fagan and Daniel McIntosh were at their Spokane apartment, which is owned by Gonzaga University but is off-campus, when a six-time convicted felon who'd recently been released from jail knocked at their door two weeks ago. John Taylor asked for $15, but Fagan says he offered food or a blanket instead of money. "My gut instinct was telling me that I wasn't going to be able to get that door closed before he came through," Fagan says.
